Covid pode causar danos cerebrais permanentes e fatais semelhantes a AVC

 Investigadores do National Institutes of Health, nos Estados Unidos, realizaram uma ressonância magnética e encontraram danos no bulbo olfativo no cérebro e no tronco cerebral. E porque o coronavírus foi detectado no tecido, os cientistas concluíram que os danos resultaram da "resposta inflamatória ao vírus", reporta um artigo publicado no jornal The Sun Online. 

Os cientistas identificaram danos provocados pelo afinamento e vazamento de vasos sanguíneos cerebrais em amostras de pacientes que haviam estado infectados com o novo coronavírus. No entanto, o estudo revelou que a deterioração cerebral não parecia estar associada a sintomas de "falta de oxigênio".
